Introduction

The movie revolves around Dev (Rajeev Pillai), an orphaned boy who is adopted by Guruji (Girish Karnad), a renowned dance teacher in Kolkata. Dev has a natural talent for dancing and impresses Guruji with his skills. Guruji takes him under his wings and trains him in various classical dance forms. Dev also develops a one-sided love for Guruji's daughter Sanjukta (Sulagna Panigrahi), who is also a dancer.

However, their lives take a dramatic turn when Sanjukta falls for Gambhira (Rajesh Shringarpure), a Chhau dancer who comes to Kolkata for a performance. Gambhira seems to be a charming and passionate lover, but he has a hidden agenda. He is actually a Naxalite, a member of an armed rebel group that fights against the state. Dev senses something fishy about Gambhira and tries to warn Sanjukta, but she does not listen to him. She secretly marries Gambhira and elopes with him.

Dev is heartbroken and Guruji is devastated by Sanjukta's betrayal. They soon realize that Gambhira has duped Sanjukta and is using her as a pawn in his violent mission. Gambhira tortures Sanjukta and forces her to join his cause. He also plans to assassinate Guruji, who is seen as a symbol of cultural heritage and peace. Dev decides to take revenge on Gambhira and rescue Sanjukta from his clutches. He follows them to Himachal Pradesh, where he meets some unexpected allies and enemies.
